“Physical school environment” refers to both the school building and the outdoor area. Everyone has the right to a safe and secure school environment.
The school has the duty to actively ensure that the school has a good physical and social environment.
The school building and outdoor area must accommodate all students, including those with disabilities.
Students and their parents can talk with the school and ask them to fix anything that does not work well. The school must come to a decision on the request as soon as possible and must formulate the decision on the matter in writing.
Students will have their voices heard in the planning and work towards a safe and secure school environment.
The school will inform students and their parents of their rights and of the school’s obligations.

The school will process the case as soon as possible. If a decision cannot be reached on the case within one month, you will receive a written message stating the reason as to why. You will also be informed of when the decision is expected to be made.
If you are dissatisfied with the decision, you can appeal to the school within three weeks from the date on which you received it. If the school does not make any decision after having had time to consider the matter, you can appeal as if a decision had been made. Explain what you are dissatisfied with and why you believe the decision should be changed. If the school upholds its decision, the case will be passed on to the county governor, who will determine whether the appeal should be sustained.
If the school has not given you a response within a reasonable amount of time, you can appeal as if the school had made a decision.
